DILG recognizes 3 Parañaque barangays for peace and order efforts

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) recognized three barangays in Parañaque as this year's Outstanding Lupon Tagapamayapa for their dedication in maintaining the peace and order in their respective areas.

Mayor Eric Olivarez and Congressman Edwin Olivarez led the awarding of recognition to the three barangays - Barangays San Isidro under chairman Noel Japlos; San Martin de Porres under chairman Atty. Michael Thor Singson and Merville under chairman Dr. Edgar Caballero - on Monday, August 7, at the Treasury Lounge in Parañaque.

He said Barangay Isidro garnered first place in the “2023 Outstanding Lupon Tagapamayapa” and was given P60,000, followed by San Martin de Porres on second place with a cash award of P40,000.

The mayor said Barangay Merville, which ranked third, was given a P20,000 cash award.

Olivarez congratulated the three barangay chairmen for their hard work in maintaining the peace and order in their areas.
