The Panglao police station headed by Police Major Andie Cupos received P100,000 from Gov. Aris Aumentado after it recently seized three kilos of suspected shabu.

Aumentado handed over P50,000 to Police Capt. Edcel Petecio, the chief of the Buenavista police station, whose recent anti-illegal drug operation yielded 50 kilos of shabu.

Aumentado is the chairman of the Provincial Peace and Order Council and the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council.

The governor said the Dauis Municipal Police Station is also set to receive a cash reward.

Aumentado said the giving of cash rewards is one of the province’s strategies to have an effective illegal drug campaign.

“We have this award system to encourage our police to operate or run after those involved in illegal drug activities in the province,” Aumentado said.

"We would like to say thank you to our provincial police office, led Col. Lorenzo Batuan, for continuing to do their job and thank you for always protecting the people of Bohol,” said Aumentado.
