Taguig cop shot dead by fellow police officer

A Taguig police officer was shot dead by a fellow cop during a heated argument on Aug. 7.

The incident happened at about 11:30 a.m. inside the Office of Community Affairs Section of the Taguig police located in the Taguig City hall compound in Barangay Tuktukan.

It was reported that Police Chief Master Sergeant Alraquib Aguel arrived at the office and got into a discussion with Police Executive Master Sergeant Heriberto Saguiped that resulted in a shooting incident.

Taguig police chief Col. Robert Baesa said Saguiped was shot dead by Aguel, who was also wounded when another police officer shot to neutralize him, fearing that he would be his next target.

Corporal Alison Sindac was injured in the incident and is in critical condition. Aguel is also in the hospital for treatment.

A video of the incident was posted on Facebook, showing a wounded police officer being put in a vehicle.
