Drug suspect wounded, P371K ‘shabu’ seized in General Trias buy-bust

CAVITE – Authorities seized more than 54 grams of suspected “shabu” in a buy-bust operation in General Trias City early Wednesday morning, Aug. 30.

The Cavite Police Provincial Office said the operation conducted by the General Trias City Police Station (CPS) led to the arrest of alias Oca, alias Rose, alias Jay, and alias Ruel.

The suspects were arrested after they were caught selling “shabu” to a police poseur buyer.

During the operation, alias Jay allegedly drew his firearm, resulting in an armed encounter. He sustained a gunshot wound and was immediately brought to Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital.

Confiscated during the sting operation were three plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance with an estimated street value of P371,892.

The suspects are now under the custody of the General Trias CPS and are facing drug and election gun ban charges.
