CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela – Police here are on alert for super typhoon “Goring.”
It has beefed up disaster response after storm signal No. 3 was hoisted on Sunday afternoon, August 27.
As of 2 p.m. Sunday, accounting of personnel who will serve as reactionary standby support force and search, rescue, and retrieval personnel is ongoing.
An equipment check and inventory of search and rescue equipment is also being conducted.
Authorities are holding “Oplan: Tambuli” to disseminate reminders about the howler to low-lying barangays.
A round-the-clock monitoring of overflow bridges to avoid any injuries and casualties and deployment of personnel to 18 low-lying barangays is under way.
Police are strictly enforcing a liquor ban during the storm.
