Davao City 1st district Rep. Paolo Duterte shared the top spot in the latest RP–Mission Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) survey on the best performing congressmen in the Davao region.

Duterte, a former deputy speaker, garnered a rating of 84.7 percent in the House of Representatives public satisfaction survey for the Davao region. It was conducted between June 25 and July 5, 2023.

The figure is a 3.4 percentage points increase from the 81.3 percent score he received in RPMD’s April 2023 survey.

Duterte is statistically tied with Davao De Oro 1st district Rep. Maria Carmen Zamora, who got 85.2 percent. This was also an improvement from her rating last April when she got 80.5 percent.

Duterte, son of former president Rodrigo Duterte, welcomed the latest survey results and thanked his fellow Dabawenyos for their support.

He vowed to continue implementing more community-based projects in a bid to bring the government’s services closer to the people, as well as provide assistance to those in need.

Tapped for the survey were 10,000 registered voters. The respondents were chosen randomly, with their numbers per district proportionally allocated according to official voting population data.

Dr. Paul Martinez of RPMD said that regular evaluations are crucial to ensuring that district representatives fulfill their roles and responsibilities effectively.
