CAAP issues NOTAMs for North Korea satellite launch

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) issued on Thursday, Aug. 24, two Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) in relation to North Korea's satellite launch.

In a statment, the CAAP said the first NOTAM is effective on Aug. 24 until Sept. 1 and provides information about the time period during which North Korea will be conducting satellite launching activities in specific geographical coordinates.

The second NOTAM temporarily closed certain area navigation (RNAV) route segments and provides alternative routes for aircraft navigation.
