Ronnie Liang is bringing back to life the timeless OPM classic 'Ngayon At Kailanman' originally performed by Basil Valdes.
"I am a fan of the original singer Sir Basil Valdes, and I usually sing this song at my shows and concerts. Matagal ko ng pangarap mairecord and magkaroon ng version of this classic OPM song. And I would like to thank the publishing company for the honor and privilege to be given a license and permit to record and release this song in all online music stores worldwide," said Ronnie during an interview recently.
Ronnie expressed his desire to spread positive energy to fellow music enthusiasts with his new track.
"I would like to dedicate this song to all music lovers, who are always inspired and coping with different stress in life. As a singer and an entertainer, it is always my heart's desire and dream to send good vibes and inspiration to all of my listeners and viewers through my music and God's given talent," he also said.
Ronnie also said that proceeds from all his produced music, royalties, and sales from all digital platforms worldwide will be donated to the Ronnie Liang Project Ngiti Foundation. "It's a project for kids with lip and cleft palates so that they can have free surgery and operation."
Asked how he managed to preserve his voice, Ronnie said: "I practice every day, vocalize, and I hydrate. Our voice is a muscle, too it needs some workout and rest. I usually sing while I run or jog and I like climbing stairs to exercise my breathing and practice stability while singing live on stage."
Ronnie is a man who wears many hats. Aside from being a singer, Ronnie is a pilot, an Army reservist, and an actor.
"I have had a lot of realizations during the height of the pandemic that life is too short and we actors, performers, and artists are so vulnerable, We need to prepare for the inevitable, and by the grace of God, we will accomplish our goals in life," he said.
Ronnie added: "Right now, time is our challenge, we need to prepare and habang may time and opportunity and lakas, achieve natin mga gusto natin sa buhay and para wala din tayong regrets. Yung time sa sarili we can have it anytime, pero yung mga studies like my Ph.D. in development administration na tine take at the PCU, training, and schooling of being a commercial pilot course at the Philippine Space and Aviation Academy and Philippine Army, I need to be focused and dedicated sa time to finish it. And hopefully, soon, I’ll be eligible to become a commercial pilot license holder."
Ronnie believes that social media has made it easier for singers to create hit songs.
"Yes, big help ang social media, especially nowadays na nasa digital era na tayo. Your music can be heard anywhere. Your music video can be seen anywhere. It’s a big blessing din talaga na nagka-ganun, But we still need radio airplay, iba pa rin pag may radio airplay and from time to time, TV guesting to promote it," he also said.
Ronnie will also hold a concert-for-a-cause that would benefit his foundation at the Grand Hyatt (BGC) on Nov. 10. The show is sponsored by Viva Live in partnership with the Rotary Club of Pasig Premier.
