Acorda awards outstanding lawmen in Western Visayas


ILOILO CITY —  Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. led the awarding of outstanding police units and police officers in Western Visayas.

Acorda and Police Brig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, director of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6, handed out awards as part of the regional celebration of the 122nd Police Service Anniversary on Monday, August 14.

Unit awardees were the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office as the Best Police Provincial Office; Bacolod City Police Office as the Best City Police Office; Roxas Component City Police Station as Best Component City Police Station; San Jose Municipal Police Station in Antique province as Best Municipal Police Station; the Iloilo City Mobile Force Company as Best City Mobile Force Company; and the 2nd Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company as the Best Provincial Mobile Force Company.

Outstanding policemen were Police Col. Alexander Mariano as Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer (PCO) for Administration; Col. Leo Pamittan as Best Senior PCO for Operations;
Police Major Maria Liza Nofuente as Best Junior PCO for Administration; Lt. Col. Mark Anthony Darroca as Best Junior PCO for Operations; Executive Master Sgt. Eric Entero as Best Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer (PNCO) for Administration; Senior Master Sgt. Christopher Panes as Best Senior PNCO for Operations; Staff Sgt. Rachel Ilumba as Best Junior PNCO for Administration; Staff Sgt. Resurrecion Aliponso Jr. as Best Junior PNCO for Administration; and Christine Florabelle Amelie Arcenas as Best Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP).
