CALAMBA CITY, Laguna – Twenty-five families living along the Philippine National Railways tracks in Barangay Halang here were rendered homeless in a fire on Wednesday, July 5.
The Laguna Police Provincial Office (LPPO) said the fire started at 9:45 p.m. and reached second alarm. It was declared fire out at 11:18 p.m.
No casualties or injuries were reported, Senior Fire Officer 3 (SFO3) Benjo Carodan of the the Calamba City Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.
Six hours earlier, a fire hit the residential barracks of Good Fortune in Barangay Balibago, Santa Rosa City, this province, at around 3:50 p.m.
The Santa Rosa City BFP declared fire out at 4:39 p.m.
Arson investigators here and Santa Rosa City are still determining the cause of the fires and the amount of damage.
