People have been wondering whether the good-looking twins of showbiz power couple Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzales will enter showbiz. Yesterday, July 3, fans were provided the answer when 21-year-old  Atasha Muhlach signed a management contract with the Viva Artists Agency, Aga's home studio.

Atasha is a stunner who was introduced to Paris high society in the exclusive le Bal des Debutantes last year. In reality, she is a down-to-earth girl who only got the so-signal to make a career in show business because she is about to graduate from her business course in the United Kingdom.

"This was something that I've always wanted to do ever since I was ten years old when I did the 'Sound of Music.' That's when I realized I do love to perform, I love to sing and I love to make people smile. But I knew I had to prioritize my studies first. That was a promise I made to my parents and also to myself. Once I got that out of the way, now I'm here," Atasha remarked.

For her first project in showbiz, Atasha is set to record next week a Tagalog single which she best describes as "happy pop."

Viva bosses led by Vic del Rosario declared Atasha as their "next big star." They said she will be packaged as a "multimedia artist" owing to her numerous talents. Aside from singing, she will also act in movies as well as do hosting and brand endorsements.

Atasha - a competitive swimmer - bared that she would love to reprise her mom's role as " Dyesebel."

"The funny story is that when I was younger, I used to think my mom was a mermaid. They would show photos of my mom with a tail and they would go along with it saying 'Oh look! your mom's a mermaid and my dad would say 'Oh yes! it's true, it's true.'  When we were out in the water, I really thought I would transform into a mermaid too. The older I got, the realization hit that it wasn't for real," Atasha narrated.

A question was also asked whether Atasha wants to be a beauty queen and follow in the footsteps of Charlene who was Bb. Pilipinas Universe 1994.

"I'm not closing my doors to anything, we'll take it one step at a time. I'm not gonna shut anything out if the opportunity is there, then we'll see. But for now, I just want to explore more of my creative side before thinking about that,"

When asked what traits she got from her famous parents, Atasha observed: "With my mom, it's her articulation, her kindness, and is very sweet. In  terms of my dad, I think it's his energy, his humor, and his willingness to try something and to push yourself even when you're uncomfortable."

She stated that she considers herself more of a "daddy's girl."

"We're best friends, we do everything together. I play golf with him, I play basketball with him. As a whole family, we're super close and spend a lot of time together," Atasha added.

Aga and Charlene's unica hija revealed that she has fond memories of her childhood growing up with nature at their family home in Mataas na Kahoy, Batangas. She and her brother Andres were not allowed to have mobile phones until they were 16.

"We were given an allowance on the weekends and we would go to the sari-sari store. We would get the plastic balloons and we always have competitions on who can make the biggest plastic balloons with jackstones. We'd go find Fudgee Bars. We actually have a snack where we put Fudgee Bar in the microwave with ice cream. It's really yummy. We would always get the pan de coco in the bakery. Sometimes if we get lucky, there would be crinkles, if not pan de regla," Atasha reminisced.
