Three recent typhoons fill up Angat, other dams in Luzon

The National Water Resources Board (NWRB) said on Monday, July 31, that the recent weather disturbances that hit the country have contributed a lot in increasing the water level in Angat Dam and other dams in Luzon.

NWRB Executive Director Sevillo David Jr., said the recent monitoring revealed that the water level in Angat Dam is at 195 meters.

For the month of July alone, he said the water level in Angat Dam rose by 17 meters.

for Ipo and Bustos Dams, Sevillo reported that their gates had to be opened for water releases after reaching the spilling level.

Despite the weather disturbances that filled up the dams in Luzon, the NWRB still requests the public to continue conserving water. (Nicole Magmanlac)
