"The Southwest Monsoon enhanced by Tropical Storm Falcon will bring occasional monsoon rains over the western portions of Luzon and Visayas in the next three days," PAGASA said.

In its latest bulletin issued at 11 p.m., PAGASA said the center of "Falcon" was last located 1,210 kilometers (km) east of central or 1,235 km east of northern Luzon.

It has maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gusts of up to 105 kph while moving north-northwestward.

Meanwhile, it will likely be outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by July 31 or Aug. 1.

Outside the PAR, "Falcon" will turn west-northwestward and pass close to Okinawa Islands in the Ryukyu Archipelago.

Moreover, it will then cross the East China Sea and hit China's east coast on Wednesday, Aug. 2. (Rhowen Del Rosario)
