CAMP Marcelo A. Adduru, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – The Police Regional Office-2 (Cagayan Valley) is ready for the second State-of-the-Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Monday, July 24.
Police Col. Jovencio S. Badua Jr., deputy regional director for operations, said all courses of action for this year’s SONA – deployment of sufficient number of personnel in strategic areas in the region, availability of standby support forces, readiness of adequate logistical equipment, and proactive and reactive interventions on possible assembly and demonstration of sectoral groups – have been finalized.
Badua said clear lines of communication from top command to lower units and timely and proper information dissemination of security measures have also been ironed out.
Police have coordinated with other line agencies and government forces to beef up groundwork during the SONA and have doubled efforts on intelligence-driven operations as well as anti-criminality and insurgency campaigns.
PRO-2 chief Police Brig. Gen. Percival Rumbaoa, PRO-2 chief, reminded lawmen to exercise maximum tolerance and use reasonable force in law enforcement and public safety operations.
