Parañaque LGU offers 'Libreng Sakay' on SONA Day


The Parañaque city government announced that 40 government vehicles will be deployed to offer “Libreng Sakay” (free rides) to commuters who will be
affected by the 72-hour transport strike to be staged by transportation
groups.

According to Mayor Eric Olivarez, the 40 government vehicles will be deployed along major thoroughfares on Monday, July 24 to Wednesday, July 26.

Olivarez said all the vehicles to be deployed will have a signage of “Libreng Sakay” and the official logo of the city government.

The routes for the free rides will be from Dr. A. Santos Avenue or the Sucat Road going to Baclaran; Ninoy Aquino Avenue, Quirino Avenue and at East and West Service Road.

Olivarez also told residents to prepare for the effecs of Typhoon Egay.
