First family greets Marcos matriarch on her 94th birthday

"Today we celebrate 94 incredible years! Happy birthday, mom! Wishing you more years filled with joy, good health, and abundant blessings," Marcos said on Twitter. The former first lady's 94h birthday on July 2, her second birthday since her family's return to Malacañang. "Happy 94th birthday, Mama Meldy!" the current first lady said as she posted a photo of the Marcoses, the President and their sons. Unlike last year, when the first family held a grand birthday celebration for Imelda at the Malacañang Palace, this year's revelry will be a "private party." Senator Imee Marcos said there was an "asalto" or surprise party was held for their mother on Saturday night, July 1, in Malacañang while a private party will be held on Sunday. Last year, only a couple of days after the inauguration of President Marcos, the Marcoses held a birthday party for the Marcos matriarch.
