Actor Dylan Sprouse and Victoria’s Secret model Barbara Palvin tied the knot last Saturday, July 15, and they plan to host a second wedding ceremony in California in the autumn season.
“[This past weekend] was supposed to be an intimate event,” Barbara told Vogue in an interview. “But we ended up having 115 guests, because there are a lot of people we care about and we wanted them all to be there," she added.
Barbara remembered how "we all cried a little," throughout the day of the event, describing, "The weather was perfect with a little cool breeze, it was a beautiful moment that we will never forget."
Actor Dylan also recalled, “We were filled with excitement!” He continues, “Since we were already done with the ceremony in the church, we were a little calmer for the second part. Before walking down the aisle, we were nervous, but as soon as we laid eyes on each other, we just started laughing, and this calmed our nerves. Of course, we both ended up crying.”
The Victoria's Secret Angel chose a timeless and classic wedding ensemble. She wore a custom strapless dress from Vivienne Westwood. Tiffany & Co. provided her jewelry, including a '90s-inspired choker that matched her dress perfectly. The bridesmaids wore various cool pastel colors to express themselves within the theme. Barbara wanted everyone to feel comfortable and allowed her family members to be flower girls. The guys looked dashing in black suits.
The couple met six years ago, and had a conversation after Barbara ghosted the actor for six months and replied to Dylan's message three months later. Their first date was in China, where Barbara flew to see the actor.
The couple got engaged in September during a camping trip in California with their friends. They made a stop at a scenic spot known for its otter sightings, which happens to be Barbara's favorite animal. Barbara recalls the moment as being incredibly romantic, as she had a feeling that he might propose due to his unexpectedly fancy shirt choice for a camping trip.
The couple revealed that they were very excited to plan their second wedding: "We’re excited to go back to L.A. (Los Angeles) to our pets and rest a bit—before we start planning the American wedding.”
