The story revolves around a group of friends who discover how to conjure spirits using an embalmed hand. Their thrill-seeking experiment quickly spirals into a terrifying ordeal when one of them goes too far, unleashing sinister and supernatural forces.

Talk to Me has been praised by critics and fans alike for its tightly woven narrative, dry wit, and raw, gritty cinematography. The film received positive reviews, a 97 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and a score of 72 out of 100 on Metacritic. It has even been described as one of the most exciting horror movies to emerge from Australia in recent years.

The film had its preview screening at the 2022 Adelaide Film Festival and its world premiere at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. It is scheduled for theatrical release in Australia on July 27.
