A total of 223 military personnel and reservists have been appointed under the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and they will compose various units of the Department of National Defense-Armed Forces of the Philippines (DND-AFP), Malacañang bared on Saturday, July 15.

In a list released on the Facebook page of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), Marcos appointed reservists Lt. Col. Josenilo Reoma (Res), Major Gene Carl Tupas (Res), and Capt. Sunshine Charry Fajarda (Res) to the Judge Advocate General Service (JAGS); as well as Capt. Clarice Jenn Sanchez (Res), Capt. Michaele Conchita Zapanta (Res), Second Lt. Mary Jane Baet (Res), and Second Lt. Sharmaine Narte (Res) to the Medical Corps (MC).
JAGS is a reservist unit of the AFP that addresses the legal requirements of the military while the MC is tasked to provide sustained health care services to military personnel and their eligible beneficiaries.
Also appointed were Capt. Roberto Nell Jone M. Astudillo III (Res) and Capt. Sunny Quejada (Res) to the Chaplain Service (CHS); Second Lt. Ma. Lourdes Mana and Second Lt. Sheila Peji to the Nurse Corps (NC); and Capt. Marwin Manaloto (Res) to the Corps of Professor (PROF).
The CHS is designated to provide ministry to soldiers and their families; the NC provides nursing care services to all military personnel, their dependents and authorized civilians; while the PROF serves as the core of professional military educators in the AFP.
The AFP Medical Administrative Corps (MAC), which is a lead component in providing medical and health services to military personnel, dependents, and authorized civilians, also got eight new appointees. They are Second Lts. Amor Theresa Atos, Nhico Dalangin, Danna Madrona, Mary Rose Mendoza, Madel Pablo, Joseph Christian Ramos, Farhana Tindick, and reservist Second Lt. Radia Sariddin (Res).
There were also 125 appointees in the Philippine Army (PA), 56 appointees in the Philippine Navy (PN), and 22 appointees in the Philippine Air Force (PAF).
