Police Major Ryan Villasario, San Carlos City police station deputy chief, said the BIR conducted surveillance after receiving information on these items.
Armed with a memorandum order, BIR personnel went to a house in the barangay to confirm the report and inform the owner of his offense.
Villasario said that he has no additional details on the operation since they only provided security to BIR personnel.
Nobody was arrested during the raid but Villasario said the BIR might file a case against the owner of the smuggled items.
Villasario said they do not know where the contraband came from but he noted that these items did not undergo a process with the BIR.
The seized items are now under the custody of the BIR, he said.
