BAGUIO CITY – A 39-year-old vendor was allegedly robbed and killed by two minors in her house in Barangay San Luis Village here on Tuesday, July 11.
The victim was identified as Floradel de Mesa, who sustained multiple stab wounds in the body.
De Mesa was believed to have fought her assailants.
The victim's P100,000 cash and cellphone were missing. The money was supposed to be used for the surgery of her husband who is confined in the hospital.
Her three-year-old son was with her when the incident occurred and was unharmed.
Jonar, Floradel’s husband, told police that he last spoke to her at 9 p.m. on Monday, July 10, on the phone. He said he was expecting her to bring milk to the hospital at 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
Jonar said that his wife failed to come and did not call the next day. He had a strange feeling and he ordered his other son to go home and look for his mother.
He arrived before dawn on Tuesday and called her mother to open the door but he received no response.
He forcibly opened the door and saw his mother bloodied and lifeless in her room and holding her three-year-old brother who was sleeping.
The Baguio City Police Office are now on the lookout for the suspects.
