Playing Mokang in "FPJ'S Batang Probinsyano," Lovi Poe entered a more refined character as Charlie in the film "Seasons."

During an exclusive roundtable interview with Lovi last July 7, Lovi explained how she came up with the film's concept to remind the audience that owning up to mistakes matters.

"I basically came up with this story because we all make mistakes in our lives. It is inevitable for us. We have to face the consequences of our mistakes. It's just something that we have to deal with. But it is very rare for people to take full responsibility for their mistakes," she said.

"I came up with the story because it's kind of me saying that I take full responsibility for my mistakes in the past. It may not be like this story of Charlie, but it's just owning up to my mistakes. It's kind of like a reminder to some people that you yourselves have to as well,'' Lovi added.

Working for the first time with Carlo, the actress admitted she felt intimated doing scenes with Carlo in the film.

"It's my first time to work with Carlo. To be honest, I used to watch G-Mik. I'm so intimidated doing scenes with Carlo, I couldn't memorize my lines." Lovi mentioned.

Although Lovi had a bit of a challenge, Carlo's easy-going personality made her comfortable while doing the film.

"I think that's what's nice about someone who's been there in the industry talaga, they know how to make you comfortable, and plus, he's so very friendly. He's effortless kasi, so what's nice about him is that, you know, no matter how stressed I was, nag-jive kami because nadala rin niya ako sa eksena," she said.

With platonic and romantic relationships being highlighted in the film, Lovi explained that these two could work if the person understands the boundaries of being a friend or a special someone.

"That could work because a guy and a girl can be best friends but of course, certain boundaries need to be addressed. So, yeah, I think it can work, but you have to know each other's boundaries, especially when another relationship is involved," she said.

She also elaborated on why the audience connects deeply with the story of Charlie and Kurt.

"I think it’s not hard to fall in love with your best friend because when you’re able to confide and be yourself with someone, when you’re comfortable completely, there’s this sense of familiarity and comfort that makes you realize, ‘Why can’t I just love this person? It’s so easy. I don’t have to pretend.’ So I think that’s a huge factor as well," she said.

"Seasons" is now streaming on Netflix. The film is directed by Easy Ferrer and written by Dwein Baltazar, starring Lovi Poe and Carlo Aquino, also joining them are Jolo Estrada, Sarah Edwards and more.
