According to Mayor Eric Olivarez, the seven-story WCH will be built beside the Ospital ng Parañaque (OsPar)-1 located in Barangay La Huerta.

Olivarez, who is a registered nurse, said the construction of WCH is part of the city government’s move to further improve accessible health services for residents.

He said the WCH will have its own delivery room, operating room, neonatal intensive care unit, and pediatric and maternity wards.

The mayor said a bridge will be built to connect the WCH to the building of OsPar-1 to make it accessible and for immediate transfer of patients.

Olivarez said the city government will also add 50 beds, an addition to the existing 83, to increase the city's bed capacity.

He said the seven-story facility will be the second hospital in the country that will exclusively cater to women and children.

The mayor added the city government allotted a total of P149-million for the construction of the hospital.

Olivarez also announced the city government is planning to build its own heart center and oncology center to better serve residents suffering from heart diseases and those with cancers.

The mayor was joined by Rep. Edwin Olivarez, Councilor Pablo Olivarez II, and OsPar-1 Medical Director Dr. Jefferson Pagsisihan.
