The Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced on Thursday, June 8, that the list of testing centers and school assignments in relation to the conduct of the Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination (BCLTE) set on June 11 can now be accessed online.
CSC said in a statement that it released Examination Advisory No. 5, s. 2023 on May 30, informing the 6,728 registered examinees from 16 CSC testing centers nationwide that they may check their Notice of School Assignment (NOSA) for the BCLTE through the Online Notice of School Assignment (ONSA) accessible via the CSC website at www.csc.gov.ph.
To use the ONSA, examinees should accurately encode/fill in the required data in the corresponding data fields, following the indicated format.
The ONSA also contains the Examinee’s Guide, which includes full details on the whole examination process. Examinees must read the guide thoroughly and avoid sharing a copy with the public as it is only for their exclusive use.
In addition, CSC also reminded prospective takers that while they may print their NOSA for their personal preference, it is neither mandatory nor a requirement for taking the exam.
Meanwhile, CSC stressed that examination venues would strictly observe “No Face Mask, No Entry” and “No I.D., No Exam” policies. Examinees must present a valid I.D. card on the examination day, preferably the same I.D. card presented during the application filing. Photocopies of I.D. cards or cellphone photos of I.D. shall not be accepted. In case of loss or unavailability of the same I.D. card used during application, the examinee must present any accepted I.D. cards for the civil service exam.
Examinees are reminded to be at the testing venue by 6:30 am or as required by the CSC Regional/Field Offices concerned, as the gates of the testing venues will be closed at exactly 7:45 am. Examinees who will arrive after 7:45 am shall not be allowed to enter the exam venue and their exam fee shall be forfeited.
Proper attire must be worn on the examination day, preferably a plain white shirt/top. Examinees wearing inappropriate clothing for an exam, such as sleeveless shirt/blouse, short/short pants/tokong pants, ripped jeans, and slippers, will not be allowed to enter the exam venue. It is also encouraged that examinees use transparent bags to store belongings and tie long hair, if applicable.
CSC reminded examinees that bringing of cellphones, including smartwatches and pens or eyeglasses with cameras, or any electronic devices that may facilitate video/audio recording of the test material or any portion of the conduct of the exam in their respective seats is not allowed.
The accomplished Certificate of Consent/Release/Waiver must be presented in case the examinee has not yet submitted one during the exam application period.
The CSC further stated that examinees may use only black ball pens in answering the test and that examinees shall not be allowed to share or borrow ball pens as a health precautionary measure.
Only stand-alone, non-graphing, non-programmable, non-scientific four-function or five-function calculators shall be allowed for use by the examinees; watch calculators, phone calculators, and any other gadgets with calculators are prohibited.
Lastly, examinees may bring alcohol or hand sanitizer that is not more than 100 mL in size as well as snacks and water placed in a clear and transparent container.
