The CEU basketball phenom Pontejos finished as the highest pointer of the team with 24 points out of the 77-63 final score, which secured their silver medal win after setting for a 5-1 record for the entire tournament.

Pontejos was tagged as one of the “Splash Sisters” alongside Khate Castillo and are bound to compete with Gilas Pilipinas in the upcoming FIBA Women’s Asia Cup that will be held in Australia this month.

The 30-year-old Business Administration graduate has already brought so much pride to the country in just a short span of her professional basketball career, not to mention her numerous achievements in different sports leagues back when she was a varsity player of CEU.

In 2018, she was named the first Filipino gold medalist in the FIBA 3x3 Mixed Competition Shootout and nailed a gold medal both for 3x3 and 5-on-5 tournaments in the Southeast Asian Games in 2019.

Sedurifa, on the other hand, stunned the opponent with his two straight shots, contributing eight points for Gilas' win.

He also had his remarkable share of triumphs as a CEU varsity player. He won as the Most Valuable Player in the National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (NAASCU) in 2013 and has showcased his skills in the various leagues he participated in.
