Vehicle of Bong Revilla and Lani Mercado's son catches fire on EDSA


Bryan Revilla, son of Senator Bong Revilla and Congresswoman Lani Mercado, recently apologized for the inconvenience caused by his car which caught fire along EDSA over the weekend.

He wasn't hurt.

He was able to get out of the vehicle relatively unscathed with the help of strangers and traffic officials.

"I'd like to give my utmost thanks and praise to the Bureau of Fire Protection-Mandaluyong, the PNP,MMDA traffic enforcers and to the security guards of SM LIGHT MALL in Mandaluyong who came to my aide. They were all very swift and efficient. I salute these public servants who came to assist without hesitation. I will be working closely with them to determine what could have caused the fire," he said.

The congressman added: "While this was a completely unforeseen incident, I am aware that it has caused inconveniences to my fellow road-users and for that I am sorry."

Bryan ended his post with: "As a long-time car and driving enthusiast, I am saddened by this event. Though I always take all necessary safeguards and precautions, accidents will still happen. This is a reminder to my fellow drivers and enthusiasts to regularly have cars checked for road-worthiness, be vigilant while driving and be responsible road-users."
