Senior citizens get social pensions from Parañaque LGU

The Parañaque city government started the social pension payout of indigent senior citizens living in District 2 on Monday, June 23, at Barangay Don Bosco.

Mayor Eric Olivarez said a total of 1,651 indigent senior citizens received their social pension for the first semester of 2023.

Olivarez said the social pension payout for indigent senior citizens in District 2 will be held from June 26 to July 3.

He said 515 senior residents in Barangay Marcelo Green received their social pension; 338 from Barangay San Martin de Porres, and 798 from Barangay Don Bosco.

The mayor said the distribution of social pension to indigent senior citizens started on June 19 at District 1 and was finished on June 23.

Based on the record of the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs Office, a total of 13,555 indigent senior citizens in the city will receive social pension.

Senior citizens who were not able to receive their social pension on their scheduled date may still claim it on July 4 at the Old Barangay San Dionision gym for District 1 while for District 2, residents may claim their social pension at Area I covered court in Fourth Estate Subdivision.
