175 scholars complete tech-voc courses in QC


A total of 175 scholars in Quezon City completed technical-vocational courses under the special training and employment program of the Quezon City Skills and Livelihood Foundation Inc. (QCSLFI) on Thursday, June 1.

The QCSLFI is a non-profit organization and training center that offers Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) accredited courses that aim to provide free livelihood skills training and livelihood programs for the city residents. 

Among the graduates were 100  scholars who received their Bread and Pastry Production National Certification II (NCII); 50 for Service Motorcycle/Small Engine System;  and 25 for Motorcycle/Small Engine Servicing NCII.

The graduates received various equipment and livelihood toolkits which will help them in starting their businesses or expanding their knowledge about their completed courses.  

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte congratulated the scholars and told them that she admires their determination to achieve their dreams.

She also assured the graduates that the city government is always there to support them.

The city government said there are already more than 12,000 residents who completed technical-vocational courses under the QCSLFI  since 2009.
