The Spouses' Head of Mission (SHOM) group organized a highly successful event at Pardon My French restaurant. Several ambassadors showcased their singing talent, such as Singapore Ambassador Gerard Ho, who belted out several popular ditties. The Thai Ambassador performed songs from the movie “Notting Hill”, and the Argentinian Ambassador Ricardo Bocalandro, accompanied by his guitar, sang several lively tunes. Additionally, the wife of the Brazilian Ambassador delighted the audience with beautiful Brazilian songs like "The Girl from Ipanema."

Ambassador Gherns Calina of Finland, Ambassador's wife Gisela Zincone, Ireland Ambassador William Carlos, and Thailand Ambassador Tull Traisorat, who also sang popular songs from “Notting Hill,” joined Emil Pyykkö in the musical performances. However, the star of the night was New Zealand Ambassador Peter Keller, who sang a duet with the composer of Tagalog songs, receiving thunderous applause. They concluded the evening with a group finale, accompanied by the other ambassadors. It was a delightful and enjoyable experience.

The impressive guest list included First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos; Pamela Manalo, the wife of Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo; Manila Times President Blanca Calilung Mercado; Gilbert and Nikki Prieto Teodoro; David and Mache Torres Ackerman; Consul Helen Ong, Consul Fortune Ledesma; Greek Ambassador's wife Aliki Pappas; Indonesian Ambassador Agus Widjojo; Ranny Shom (President from Finland); and Ritta Laakso, who delivered the welcome remarks.
