Firenze, the Latin word for the Italian city of Florence that is synonymous to Renaissance art and architecture, was launched on Thursday, May 4.

“We have chosen Florence as the inspiration of this new development because of its charm and interesting character that truly reflect what Iloilo Business Park has become through the years. This is the first time that we have a particular city as an inspiration for our condo in the township – not just Italian, but truly Florentine,” said Jennifer Palmares-Fong, first vice president for sales and marketing for Megaworld Visayas.

The 22-story condominium building will have 415 smart home units that have a wireless home system which residents can remotely access via their smartphones.

The Firenze is the first condo building at that has one junior bedroom and the smallest layout.

Aside from the usual amenities, the Firenze aims to be more environmentally friendly with green features.

“It includes low flow rate fixtures to promote water conservation, occupancy sensors in hallways that help conserve energy, high energy efficiency rating for major equipment, rainwater harvesting and reuse system, and its own material recovery facility,” noted Fong.

The Firenze, which will be completed in 2029  besides The Palladium, will be another manifestation of the robust spending power of Ilonggos.

“Megaworld expects to generate P4 billion in sales,” added Fong.

Also present at the launching were Harold Brian Geronimo, Megaworld vice president for public relations and media, as well as the sales and marketing team.
