Traffic enforcer gunned down by drunk rider in Tanza, Cavite

CAVITE – A traffic enforcer was shot dead by a drunk driver in Barangay Daang Amaya II in Tanza on Sunday, May 28.
The Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) said that prior to the shooting incident, the victim, William Mentes Quiambao, apprehended the suspect, Joseph T. Llagas, for allegedly riding a motorcycle under the influence of alcohol.
When their discussion led to a heated argument, Llagas reportedly shot Quiambao three times at the back of his head.
Llagas fled the scene onboard his motorcycle along with his accomplice, identified as Aries P. Carlos.
The traffic enforcer was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Authorities recovered from the crime scene a deformed .45 caliber slug and five empty .45 caliber cartridges used by the suspect, which were submitted to the Provincial Forensic Unit for ballistics examination.
The motorcycle used by the suspects was recovered by tracker teams in Barangay Biga.
The Tanza Municipal Police Station (MPS) has coordinated with nearby police stations to conduct a dragnet operation, while the Cavite Provincial Intelligence Unit is already tracking down the suspects.
The local government unit (LGU) offered a P100,000 cash reward for information that would lead to the arrest of Llagas and Carlos.
