Teves hitman nabbed in Nueva Ecija


CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – Police arrested an alleged hitman of the Teves Terrorist Group and most wanted person in Negros Oriental in Talugtug, Nueva Ecija on September 7.

Police Col. Richard V. Caballero,  Nueva Ecija police chief, identified the suspect Richard Quadra, 45, poultry caretaker from Barangay Milagrosa, Santa Catalina, Negros Oriental.

Quadra yielded a caliber 9mm Smith and Wesson Model SW9C pistol with magazine and bullets.

The suspect and five others, including dismissed Negros Oriental Rep. Arnolfo Teves, face charges over the series of killings in Negros Oriental in 2019. 

Caballero said vigilance was the key to Quadra’s arrest.

“We remain vigilant in our efforts to hunt law violators and maintain the safety of our residents. This arrest is a testament to the diligence and professionalism of our personnel to put behind bars all wanted persons, especially those notorious ones,” Caballero said.

Quadra faces charges for violating Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunitions) and the Omnibus Election Code of the Philippines.
