The tablets are aimed at helping public school teachers in their lessons plans and recording student grades.

"The City of Taguig will always be dedicated to help contribute to your professional development as each of you play a pivotal role in what makes our city Transformative, Lively, and Caring," said Mayor Lani Cayetano.

According to Ibañez, "I'd like to underscore the level of uniqueness of Taguig in terms of the generous support. Wherever I go, this is the first that I encountered a local government providing the necessary educational support to our teachers, not just hundreds, one thousand, but even beyond, 6,000 teaching force in the Division of Taguig City and Pateros.”

He said the tablet PCs and accessories “will be beneficial especially in our direction of schools in the future which requires the use of technology.”
