ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) Philippines, a partnership with Globe Telecom Inc., Ayala Corporation, and Singapore-based ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC), showcased its new "state-of-the-art" standalone data hall in Makati City that was built to meet demands for data storage solutions.
The data hall, which is designed to Tier 3 data center standard of a 99.9 percent expected uptime, has a 1.2MW capacity or 100 high-density racks, with support loads of up to 12 kw.
It is built with redundancy measures and reliable power and cooling infrastructures to ensure critical systems and connectivity avenues remain functional even during drastic changes in weather.
It also includes "eco-friendly ventilation and air conditioning systems, and champions sustainable practices through the use of recycled materials and energy-efficient equipment, a rainwater catchment system, and solar panels to generate energy."
Full-scale operations are expected to be conducted at the STT Makati Data Hall by November this year.
“The completion of our new data hall in STT Makati is a reflection of our unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of excellence and innovation. This facility offers an opportunity for businesses to enjoy the advantages of having collocation space in a next-generation, hyperscaler grade data center for a fraction of the cost,” said STT GDC Philippines President and CEO Carlo Malana.
