Lolit Solis celebrates 75th birthday: 'Sana humaba pa ang buhay ko'

Popular entertainment columnist and talent manager Lolit Solis turned 75 on May 20 as she celebrated her birth anniversary with some friends from showbiz media.

"Sana humaba pa ang buhay ko," said Nay Lolit when asked about her birthday wish during a birthday lunch at SuperSam Restaurant in Timog, Quezon City on May 22.

But when she was asked about her wish for the entertainment industry, Nay Lolit got emotional. "Nalulungkot ako kasi dying industry na ang showbiz sa atin. Mabuti na lang may mga nagpo-produce pa na palabas sa TV. Kaya walang karapatan ngayon magyabang ang mga artista."

Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. and Cong. Lani Mercado also joined the lunch for Nay Lolit.

Guests sang the birthday song for Nay Lolit as Sen. Bong and Cong. Lani offered her a bouquet of flowers. Then she blew the candle on top of the birthday cake.

"Eto ang sasabihin ko. Ang pamilya Revilla ay isa sa mga pinakamababait na tao na nakilala ko," she said.

"My birthday wish for Nay Lolit is more birthdays to come. Sana ma-extend ng 100 more years," Sen. Bong said. "At sana tama na ang pakikipag-away."

Cong. Lani added: "Good health for Nay Lolit."
