Dalipe pledges support for Zamboanga City teachers


ZAMBOANGA CITY – Hundreds of public and private school teachers gathered at the Tetuan Coliseum here on Monday, October 2, for the culminating program of National Teachers’ Month.

The program was also held in line with the celebration of World Teachers’ Day on October 5.

Mayor John Dalipe here joined in the celebration and lauded and vowed his support to the teachers for imparting their knowledge to the youth.

“It is through your guidance and unwavering commitment that our city has progressed and evolved. Thank you for the knowledge you imparted as well as instilling values, ethics and a sense of purpose on our students. I want to thank you all for the sacrifices and often going beyond what is required,” Dalipe said.

National Teachers’ Month is celebrated from September 5 to October 5 of every year pursuant to Presidential Proclamation 242.

The program was led by the Department of Education-Zamboanga City Schools Division in partnership with the city government.
