Aklan PPO officer-in-charge appointed


ILOILO CITY – Police Col. Victorino Romanillos has been appointed officer-in-charge of the Aklan Police Provincial Office.

Romanillos was erstwhile chief of the Police Regional Office-6 (Western Visayas) Police Community Relations Division.

Camp Crame, the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters based in Quezon City, has released an order naming Romanillos Aklan PPO OIC.

Police Major Grace Borio, PRO-6 spokesperson, confirmed that Romanillos has been Aklan PPO OIC since Monday, May 16.

Romanillos replaced Police Col. Crisaleo Tolentino who was appointed Aklan police chief in December 2021. Tolentino was moved to the PNP-Directorate for Operations.

Romanillos hails from Western Visayas, particularly San Carlos City, Negros Occidental province.

This was the latest in the revamp of high-ranking police officers in Western Visayas.

Last May 8, Police Brig. Gen. Leo Francisco was relieved as PRO-6 chief and was assigned to Camp Crame.

Police Brig. Gen.  Archival  Diokno Macala is the PRO-6 officer-in-charge.
