Authorities from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Caloocan City Police Station rescued a man who allegedly climbed a billboard frame outside the Light Rail Transit 1 (LRT-1) Monumento Station in Caloocan City on Wednesday morning, Aug. 23.
The BFP said rescuers responded to the area to assist the man, who reportedly has a mental illness, down the billboard frame at around 7:05 a.m.
Col. Ruben Lacuesta, CCPS chief, said police operatives also went to the area to help rescue the man.

Caloocan City Fire Department Fire Superintendent Eugene Briones said the man, who was sleeping on the structure, was rescued by their Special Rescue Force at around 7:50 a.m.
The man is currently under the custody of the Caloocan City Fire Department, Lacuesta said.
