Hagonoy, Bulacan blood-letting collects 50 bags of blood

With the collective goal of saving lives and refreshing the spirit of volunteerism, almost a hundred Bulakenyos participated in the bloodletting activity conducted by the group of "Ka Bayani Bulunterismo, Isang Dugo isang Buhay" in Barangay San Pablo, Hagonoy, Bulacan on Tuesday, May 16.

The bloodletting activity was spearheaded by Councilor Elmer Santos and the Tau Gamma Phi Hagonoy chapter under the leadership of its Chairman, Rafael Saga.

Village Captain Marciano T. Castro, of Barangay San Pablo, Hagonoy, Bulacan , Councilor Eliseo Pahati, committee on Health; SK Chairman RV Jumaquio, and Angel Villaflor, president of the Hagonoy Barangay Health Workers Association also participated in the activity.

According to the group, they have collected 50 bags of blood donated mostly by the members of the Tau Gamma Phi San Pablo and will be deposited at the Bulacan Provincial Blood Center.

The blood will be used by the Bulacan Medical Center (BMC) for various medical purposes and to assist patients who need blood.

The group encourages everyone to be healthy and support blood donation which is vital in saving lives.
