Malabon gov’t to close roads on May 16 for cultural parade


The Malabon City government announced on Monday, May 15, that it will close Rizal and General Luna Avenues on Tuesday, May 16, to give way to the Malabon Cultural Fashion Parade.

Due to the road closure, a road rerouting will be implemented for motorists on the said day.

Vehicles coming C. Arellano going to Bayan may take Sacristia Street going to F. Sevilla Boulevard.

Meanwhile, those who are going to Gasak and Hulong Duhat may pass through Sanciangco Street and turn left Governor Pascual Avenue going to General Luna Avenue to reach their destination.

The parade is part of the 22nd Cityhood Anniversary and will feature the candidates of the Ginoo at Binibining Malabon pageant from the city’s 21 barangays. 

The parade will start at the Malabon Sports Center in Barangay San Agustin at around 6 p.m. and will end at the Immaculate Concepcion Parish.

Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval, city government officials, and special guests will join the activity.
