Church leader reminds faithful to pray without ceasing

Military Ordinariate of the Philippines Bishop Oscar Jaime Florencio has called on the faithful to intensify their prayers and “to pray without ceasing” as an effective weapon against evil.

Bishop Florencio stressed that a sincere and fervent prayer serves as an effective tool against the evil forces that separate man from God.

The Church leader issued the statement following the recently reported SatanCon of the Satanic Temple held in Boston in the United States.

“Let us pray the holy rosary every day. We need to pray without ceasing because the devil is like a prowling lion ready to devour,” Bishop Florencio said over Radio Veritas.

SatanCon participants reportedly disrespected the sacraments, the Holy Bible and even the Body of Christ.

The Office of Exorcism of the Archdiocese of Manila, earlier, called on the faithful for more prayers against the forces of evil. The Office of Exorcism particularly encouraged the faithful to pray the Saint Michael Chaplet. The archangel is known to fight Satan and the forces of evil.

Also called the Rosary of Angels, the Chaplet of St. Michael was granted approval by Pope Pius IX in 1851. Those who pray the chaplet gain constant guardianship by his/her angel every time he/she receives the Holy Communion and guardianship in his/her lifetime and hour of death.
