First Lady Liza, sons celebrate Easter

The First family joined Filipino Christians in celebrating Easter Sunday by posting on their social media accounts.

With a short greeting, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and her two sons—Joseph Simon and William Vincent—shared a photo of them wearing bunny ears headband while posing with easter egg toys.

She captioned the post with "Happy Easter everyone!"

Aside from his official message for Easter, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. also penned a brief message on his personal account.

"We wish all the Filipino Christians in the Philippines and around the world a meaningful and solemn Easter Sunday," the President said.

"May we see this day as a symbol of love and hope as we continuously call for unity and work for the progress of our nation. Happy Easter!" he added.

In his Easter Sunday message, Marcos urged Filipino Christians to take the celebration as a time to be grateful for the chance to "renew and recover" as the country aimed for unity and progress.

"Pause and give thanks for the opportunity for renewal and recovery as we push through our quest for genuine unity and progress for all," he said.
