Quezon fire: 13 houses gutted, 23 individuals homeless


ATIMONAN, Quezon – Thirteen houses were gutted by a fire that broke out on Monday morning in Barangay 1 Poblacion in this town.

According to the report, the fire started at around 10:10 a.m. allegedly from the house of a certain Leticia Hernandez at Leon Guinto Boulevard corner G. Orda Street in Brgy. 1.

The fire easily spread to the adjacent houses and affected twenty-three individuals.

Police and Atimonan Bureau of Fire Protection personnel responded to the scene of the fire which was declared out at around 10:50 a.m. No casualty or injury had been reported.

The estimated cost of damages had been placed at around P3 million, according to a report from an arson investigator.

The victims who lost their homes were Leticia Hernandez, Warren Las Piñas, Mc Hobert Las Piñas, Ruel Labitag, Edison Lazona, Ruben Villareal, Karen, Ester Villareal, Ruel Hernandez, Rafael Torres, Geigo Dehayco, Alvin Villareal, Jhon Jhon Villaflor, Ranil Villareal, Evelinda Tena, Rosario Aguilar, Lea Tena, Ricardo de Asis, Jose Campeña, Arnold Las Piñas, Hanz Las Piñas, Gerald Tena, and Frederick de Asis.
