This year's Tanikala features two other inspirational stories about forgiveness and hope, which will be shown on April 6, Maundy Thursday, and April 7, Good Friday, on GMA Network at 5 p.m., as announced during the press conference in Quezon City held last March 26.
The first movie is entitled "Senior Moment," a drama-comedy (dramedy) film starring veteran actors Carla Martinez and Mari Kaimo. Carla will play the role of Pilaring, while Mari will portray her husband Pepe.

Carla said that she can relate to Pilaring's character.

'That also happened to my marriage. I can relate to Pilaring because, during a trying time in my marriage, I also felt that I was not appreciated anymore. There was a point that I wanted to end my marriage, but I thank God that he saved me and my marriage," she recalled.
Being married to his husband for almost a decade before his husband passed away, Carla talked about an essential lesson regarding love.
'You are loving an imperfect person, but loving that imperfect person is one thing [that is] the best for that person, even if it will inconvenience you. Do you know why? [Because] loving is inconvenient and uncomfortable,' Carla mentioned.
The second flick, entitled "Kampuhan," will premiere on April 7, Good Friday. It stars real-life couple Jan Marini and Gerard Pizzaras.
The casts of 'Senior Moment' and 'Kampihan'
Jan is an actress who started her career in the early '90s, while Gerard is an actor who started also in the '90s and who was discovered by Johnny Manahan. Jan and Gerard have been married for almost 23 years.
"Sobrang excited kami ni Gerard habang nagshoshoot nito kasi para lang kaming nagbabakasyong dalawa, but we are grateful kasi we get to work together kasi this is our first time to shoot a film after the pandemic," Jan mentioned.
They are joined by rising actors Angel Guardian, Neo Rivera, Carlos Canlas, CJ De Guzman, and Ellene Cubalo, who will play a group of travel joiners who accidentally end up in a remote fisherman's village. (with reports from Richielyn Canlas and Hannah Nicol)
