A few days after her older sister Lakam was released from the intensive care unit (ICU), Kim Chiu returned to the noontime variety show "It's Showtime." She thanked everyone who prayed for her sister.

Kim posted a line from the show's theme song on her Instagram account about her sister's experience with an undisclosed medical condition.

'Umulan man o umaraw. Kahit ang dulo ay ‘di matanaw.’ This line hits differently now.' "Today I am back with my 'Showtime' fam after more than a week of being scared and wary.' Kim wrote in her caption.

Kim's fellow showtime hosts gave the actress their support and words of encouragement.

"As the saying goes, 'There is no limit to what our limitless God will do in response to our limitless faith.' Thank you, God, for another day to witness your miracles and blessings,' Kim continued. 'God is great; God is powerful. Thank you, Lord, for healing my ate. Thank you, everyone, for all the prayers."

Last April 19, when KIm celebrated her 33rd birthday, the actress requested her followers to remember her sister in their prayers and revealed Lakam's health.

Lakam was moved from the ICU to a regular room after a few days, according to Kim, and she finally regained consciousness on April 24.
