LTO deploys over 200 personnel for road assistance, law enforcement during Lenten exodus


The Land Transportation Office has deployed more than 200 of its personnel to render road assistance as the Lenten break exodus starts.

Roque I. Verzosa III, director of the LTO-National Capital Region West, said their personnel were also instructed to implement the road safety rules to avoid unnecessary accidents as more vehicles are expected to hit the road.

“Leading the operations in an effort to provide convenient, safe, and reliable travel and ensure the safety of the riding public and motorists this Holy Week and for vacation travels this summer are 15 personnel from the Regional Law Enforcement Unit and three (3) coming from the Regional Operations Center,” said Verzosa. 

The strict implementation of the Republic Act 4136, or the "Land Transportation and Traffic Code," and other special laws is from March 31–April 10 and Oplan Isnabero from April 11–12.

The deployed LTO-NCR West personnel came from the Manila North District Office, Manila East District Office, Manila West District Office, Manila South District Office, Manila Licensing Center, Caloocan District Office, Caloocan Licensing Extension Office, Malabon District Office, Navotas Extension Office, Las Piñas District Office, Las Piñas Extension Office, Makati District Office, Muntinlupa District Office, Parañaque District Office, Parañaque Licensing Center PITX, Pasay City District Office, Pasay City Licensing Center, Public Utility Vehicle Registration (PUVREC) located in Pasay City and the South Motor Vehicle Inspection Center (SMVIC).

LTO-NCR West personnel assigned at the Las Piñas Licensing Extension Office and Las Piñas District Office will be deployed at the Tas Trans Bus Terminal, Alabang-Zapote Road, Las Piñas City; South Motor Vehicle Inspection Center (SMVIC) at the Five Star Terminal Pasay; Parañaque PITX Licensing Center at the PITX; Muntinlupa District Office at the Starmall/South Station/Festival Mall; Makati District Office at the JAC Liner Terminal/DLTB1 Terminal; Pasay District Office at the Partas Bus Terminal Pasay/Five Star Bus Terminal, Pasay; Pasay City Licensing Center at thr Five Star Terminal Pasay City and PUVREC at the Five Star Terminal and at the DLTB Bus Terminal Pasay City.

“They were all tasked to submit all confiscated items together with the Individual Apprehension Report to the Operations Division within 24 hours from the date of apprehension or confiscation,” said Verzoza.
