BLACKPINK Jisoo’s ‘Me’ tops weekly album chart 


K-pop group BLACKPINK member Jisoo grabbed the No. 1 spot on the weekly album chart in South Korea. 

Jisoo released “Me,” her first solo album on March 31, becoming the final member of BLACKPINK to have a solo project.

According to Hanteo Chart, Jisoo’s “Me” topped the weekly album chart for the period March 27 to April 2. 

During the period, “Me” sold 888,570 copies or a physical record index of 961,565 points to place first on the weekly chart. 

“Me’ sold 876,249 copies on the first day of release, the highest sales volume for a female solo album in Korea, according to YG Entertainment. 

Jisoo is the only female solo singer in Korea who has reached the sales figure on the first day of album release. 

“Flower,” the main track of the single album, peaked at No. 1 on iTunes’ Top Song chart in 60 countries and territories.
