This Cebuano Artist is holding an art class for adults to "heal your inner child"

Cebuano artist Andre Chan is coming to Manila this summer to guide participants to a journey of self-discovery through art.
His classes, called Oracle, is a progressive workshop open to all—not just for artists!
Initially launched in Cebu, Andre plans to expand the class to not only encourage personal growth, but also to foster a community among young professionals and creatives by introducing novel concepts and perspectives and "fostering a shared sense of identity."
In the talk, Andre described how the classes will proceed. "You will receive a lunch meal, a drink and an art kit, all designed to enable you to express yourself fully. This is in collaboration with Ugly Duck Poblacion in Makati City, it's also the venue for Oracle."
Andre then talked about the sessions, which consist of five parts: Self-acknowledgement, Expression is Key; Physical-Abstract | Abstract-Physical, School of Athens, and The Pinnacle.
The end of the class will culminate with everyone doing their own intimate art exhibit.
"I believe that the expectation should be unknown," Andre said, when asked what to expect in his classes. "We are unraveling that expression, that innate creativity, that innate definition of yourself. I don't want to give them a certain expectation, but I want them to expect that this is not a class to compare your techniques to others. This is a class to to not look at the right or left of you; we will look inwards. For you to send your energy outwards, to create good and compelling work, we need to look inwards first."

To achieve this, he designed five main sessions that discusses the process and structure of self-expression, including recognizing, appreciating, and accepting your emotions, as well as paying attention to the details they reveal through your art. “The sessions will guide you to reconnect with your true self, and to speak more confidently about who you are, and what you believe in,” he shared during a chat with Manila Bulletin Lifestyle.
