Beauty Gonzalez on being linked to Bong Revilla

Beauty Gonzalez is set to headline a spin-off of the hit movie “Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis” along with Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr.

During a recent interview, the 31-year-old was asked if she's worried about them being romantically linked.

Beauty is unbothered.

“If ma-li-link kami, then it means that we’re doing a good job," she answered.

She reiterated that so far, she has worked with lots of actors already like Gabby Concepcion, Ariel Rivera, Dingdong Dantes, Kelvin Miranda, and Albert Martinez and there has been no issue at all.

"I have not been linked with anyone, because I respect myself," she stressed. "I respect the family of the person, I respect the guy."

"You know, wala, well, natatawa na lang ako. Hindi naman siguro, hindi ko pa naisip yun, kasi so far wala namang nangyayari sa aking ganun," she continued.

"And I’ve been married for ten years na. Iba-iba na ang naging ka-love team ko. Matanda, bata, lahat, di ba? So parang so far, so good. Wala namang problems," said she. “Nagka-lock-in na ako, wala namang narinig na anu-ano."

Beauty reiterated how supportive her husband, art curator Norman Crisologo, is, of her pairing with the senator.

The latter is even eager to personally meet her new leading man, the husband of actress-politician Lani Mercado.

“Sabi nga niya, ‘Babes, ilabas mo lahat ng Bisaya mo rito sa bahay. Kailangan galingan mo diyan.’ So, sobrang happy siya and sobrang supportive siya," Beauty maintained.

“Sabi nga niya sa akin, ‘O, wag kang masungit, ha? Kasi dire-diretso ang taping mo niyan.' Kasi, mag-aabot sila with 'Stolen Life.' Sabi ko, 'Hindi ah, matagal ko na itong pinangarap, ano? Diretso lang ako.'”

More than anything, she's excited about doing a sitcom that follows the story of Police Major Bartolome Reynaldo (Sen. Bong), who is admired for his good looks, fearlessness, and popularity with the ladies. But there is one thing that grounds Tolome and that’s his fear of his wife, Gloria (Beauty).

According to her, she has been stalking stars who will be part of the project as part of her preparation.

“Tinitingnan ko kung ano ang hilig nila. Kasi siyempre, hindi lang ako ang dapat na nagwu-work. Kaming lahat nagwu-work, and I want to know a bit of them also para pag nagkita kami, hindi naman ako yung, ‘Ay, sino nga yun?’ Ayoko ng ganun. Gusto ko, kilala ko silang lahat, e... I want them to feel important also na I did my part na nag-research ako kung sino yung mga kasama ko.”

Beauty also watched Bong's previous films including the original "Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis" starring Lani.

She's also doing research about Bisaya.

“Kasi it's been a while.

—so, I’m trying to research that again."

Aside from the language, Beauty will also maintain a certain physique.

"Since it’s an action film, and, I’m sure, may seksing kasama si Senator Bong. Hindi tayo magpapatalo, ang misis. Kailangan slim din tayo and palaban. Nagwu-work out din ako."

Beauty said doing the project is a "dream come true."

"Pangarap ko talagang magka-sitcom, and, as an artista, gusto ko namang ipakita sa lahat ng tao, na you know, from drama, to heavy drama, to acting, to international films, and, now sa sitcom. Gusto kong ipakita ang iba't-ibang side of me," she said. “And to be offered and handpicked by Senator Bong, was wow. It was like unexpected.”

She feels the show will be a "hit."

"Kasi we need something to laugh. We need something to be happy. We need something na maka-relate yung mga Bisaya also. And for Senator Bong to open this door for me, sa mga Bisaya, I'm very proud of it."

Aside from the said sitcom, Beauty is also doing the upcoming TV series "Stolen Life" along with Carla Abellana and Gabby Concepcion.

She is also promoting Hey Pretty Skin.

So how does it feel to be showered with one blessing after another?

"Sobrang thankful, sobrang happy. Ito po yung pinapangarap ko dati. So it's finally happening. Well, continously happening," she said.

"I'm so thankful to GMA for giving me these beautiful stories to showcase my acting. Also, to work with pioneers of GMA from Dingdong (Dantes). Now I have project with Gabby and Carla coming out soon... I'm very thankful for them kasi tuloy-tuloy yung suporta na binibigay nila sa akin," she shared.

Beauty noted: "I'm out of words. Hindi ito nangyayari sa lahat - na tuloy-tuloy yung trabaho. In less than two years I had four shows with GMA. That is really crazy; na I've done four characters in less than two years and it all went well, thank God."

Recall that in June 2021 when Beauty transferred to GMA after almost two decades of being a Kapamilya.

She first rose to fame as a "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate in 2008.

Meanwhile, Beauty also expressed gratitude to her husband.

"Hinahayaan niya lang akong mag-work na mag-work. Wala siyang reklamo. And he's happy to see me be happy."

But of course, she also makes sure to give time to him and to their family.

Beauty pointed out that every time she finished a show, she has that allotted time for her loved ones.

"That's why we love to travel a lot," she said, relating Norman loves beaches.

Being part of the Hey Pretty Skin family is perfect for her, maintaining how she loves their tinted sunscreen product.

Just a few days ago, Hey Pretty Skin CEO Anne Barretto formally introduced Beauty as their first celebrity endorser.
