Thousands of Muslims attend Eid'l Fitr prayers in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Thousands of Muslims attended the congregational prayers for the Eid’l Fitr celebration here on Saturday morning, April 22.

Thousands more attend the congregational prayers at the different mosques in this city. Mayor John Dalipe issued Executive Order JD 2023-034 for the use of the stadium and temporarily close certain streets for parking prior to the celebration. Security forces were also fielded to the different prayer venues to maintain order. In his message, Dalipe conveyed his message of solidarity and unity to the Muslims here. He also attended the yearly “Pagbukah” or breaking of the fast prior to the Eid’l Fitr celebration.
